Modern France, Cultural/Intellectual History. The Department of History at Appalachian State University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Modern France, Cultural/Intellectual History, beginning August 2008. Ability to teach World Civilization and courses in area of specialization required. Ph.D. in History, teaching experience, and evidence of scholarly potential expected. Instructional duties will include student advisement and curriculum development. In addition, faculty members are expected to maintain an active program of scholarship as well as participate in service activities.
