Appalachian State University invites applications for Chair of the History Department to begin July 1, 2009. Tenured position, competitive salary and benefits. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in history, a record of scholarship and teaching appropriate for a senior associate or full professor, and demonstrated experience in academic leadership. Field open.
